Rheumatology Department was started at NRI General Hospital. First Department, in coastal Andhra Pradesh region catering to requirements of over 6 districts.

Predominantly deals with Inflammatory Arthritis such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Seronegative Spondyloarthropathy and connective disorders like ShE, SJogrens, Scleroderma. Spectrum of 120 diseases with adequate investigative and qualified professionals.

Future plan is to start speciality fellowship courses in Rheumatology and Clinical Trials Division.
